Mistfall Hunter Matchmaking Guide
Mistfall Hunter drops you into shared lobbies with other players automatically — there is no lobby browser. The matchmaker mixes PvP and co-op in the same run: you extract with teammates and compete against rival hunters in the same region. Matchmaking is crossplay (PC, PS5, and Xbox share one pool) and respects region locks you set. This guide explains how it all fits together.
How Lobbies Work

Steam lists the game as online PvP, PvP, and online co-op with no offline mode — going in alone is allowed, but the region is still shared with rival hunters. Solo is a high-risk setting, not a separate campaign.

Crossplay & Region Locks
- Crossplay is enabled by default — PC, PS5, and Xbox players share the same pool (see our crossplay guide).
- Region locks exist: you can restrict matchmaking to your region to avoid high-ping lobbies, or disable it for faster queues. Some regions are sparser, so disabling the lock speeds up queue times. Full details on our region lock guide.
Queue Tips
- Disable region lock if queues are long — the pool is bigger and ping is usually acceptable.
- Bring a party to control fights — solo runs put you at a numbers disadvantage against trios.
- Use Path of Glory for structured matches if you want ranked competition instead of emergent PvP.
- Peak hours: evenings US time have the healthiest population; see player count for trends.
