The Character Creation Bow is exactly what its name says: the bow every would-be Blackarrow is handed before the Gyldenmist takes the training wheels off. As a Damaged weapon (15 Attack, no Combat Value listed), it is the literal starting point of the bow line — a step below even the Common Handcrafted Longbow (CV 200).

• Where it sits: last place. Every other bow in the database outclasses it.
• When to use it: character creation and the tutorial, when the goal is learning movement and aiming — not winning fights.
• When to swap: the first time you extract with anything better. The Handcrafted Longbow or Oil-soaked Wooden Bow replaces it within a run or two.

Community note: new-player coverage (July 2026) universally treats Damaged starter weapons as throwaway gear meant to teach the extraction loop without risking value — the Character Creation Bow is the game’s way of saying “now you go find a real one.” That is community advice, not an official statement.
