Builds & Playstyle
The Yew Longbow is the bow the Blackarrow page is built around — the ranged mainstay of the class, and at 29 Attack with Combat Value 400 the first bow where the class’s damage genuinely shows up. It is the bow you carry through the midgame while you learn which arrow family you want to main: both the Archer’s full-draw burst route (Sky Piercer, Rapid Arrows) and the Hunter’s trap-and-debuff route take the same value from it.
- Where it sits: the middle of the bow ladder — above the Oil-soaked Wooden Bow (CV 300), below the Crusader Strongbow (Epic, CV 500).
- When to use it: the leveling-to-endgame transition, and as a comfortable main bow until an Epic or better drops.
- When to swap: when the Crusader Strongbow or the Legendary shows up — the Excellent tier is the class’s comfort zone, not its ceiling.
Community note: the Blackarrow’s own tier is heavily disputed in launch lists (SkyCoach S, KeenGamer A, July 2026 — see the tier list), but no list ranks individual bows; guides treat the Yew Longbow as the default midgame pick because it is the first bow with real damage, not because of any weapon-level ranking.
