Brandrgarde

Brandrgarde is a location in Mistfall Hunter, a former military fortress that now lies in ruins in the far north. Its cold iron walls and hidden passages conceal valuable spoils, which makes the fortress one of the principal battlegrounds for Gyldhunters. Unlike Hallowgrove, the Gyldenmist here closes in over time, producing a faster and more intense combat experience.

Compared with heavily corrupted regions, Normal Brandrgarde is considerably calmer. The number and strength of its monsters stay within manageable limits, the environment is relatively safer, and extraction is easier. Even so, Gyldhunters should not become careless, because even a small mistake can still carry a heavy cost.

Cataclysm

Data for the Cataclysm mode of Brandrgarde is still being collected, and no statistics have been published yet. The map overview lists this mode as “Cataclysm · Unknown”, so details such as difficulty rating, equipment requirements, allowed combat bags, and revival count are not currently available.

Landmarks and Points of Interest

Brandrgarde’s ruined fortress rewards thorough exploration:

  • Hidden passages and sealed grounds — valuable spoils sit behind the fortress’s walls, and the Sealed Grounds and Main Hall are where the map’s boss encounter takes place.
  • High-value loot — like Hallowgrove’s landmarks, the fortress’s points of interest are prime PvP contention zones, and the shrinking Gyldenmist pulls rival teams together as the run progresses.

What to Hunt and Farm

  • Otto, the Flesheater — the Mist Lord fought in the Sealed Grounds or Main Hall, reached through The Flesheater’s Feast. See the Otto boss guide.
  • Cataclysm difficulty — developer notes describe defeating Mist Lords on Cataclysm as the most common way to obtain top-tier gear (see PvE). Brandrgarde Cataclysm shipped with Season 1.
